Author Guidelines

Al-Hasany: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam invites scholars, researchers, teachers, lecturers, and practitioners to submit original manuscripts in the field of Islamic Education. Submitted manuscripts must be original, have not been published previously, and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian and must follow the official journal template provided by Al-Hasany: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam. All manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word using Book Antiqua, 12 pt font size, and single spacing throughout the main text. The manuscript must contain a minimum of 6000 words, excluding references.

The title of the manuscript must be concise, informative, and contain a maximum of 14 words. The manuscript must include the author(s)’ full name and institutional affiliation. One author should be designated as the corresponding author, and the manuscript must provide the corresponding author’s name, email address, and ORCID ID.

The abstract must be written in English, in a single paragraph, with a length of 150–250 words. It should clearly state the research objectives, methods, principal findings, discussion, and implications of the study. The abstract must be typed in Book Antiqua 10 pt and single spacing. Authors must also provide 3–5 keywords that reflect the main topics of the article.

The manuscript must be organized in the following order: Title, Author(s) Name and Affiliation, Correspondence Information, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Research Method, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgment (optional), and References.

The Introduction should present the background of the study, research problems, theoretical or empirical gaps, relevant previous studies, the novelty of the study, and the research objectives. This section must be written in a coherent narrative form without subheadings or numbering.

The Research Method section should clearly explain the research design, approach, setting or unit of analysis, data sources, data collection techniques, and data analysis procedures. The journal accepts various types of research approaches, including qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, and systematic literature review.

The Results section should present the principal findings of the study based on field data, textual data, or other relevant sources. Authors are encouraged to support the presentation of findings with relevant materials such as tables, figures, graphs, matrices, interview excerpts, photographs, scanned documents, or screenshots, where appropriate.

The Discussion section should provide a critical and analytical interpretation of the findings by relating them to the research questions and relevant literature. Authors are expected to explain the significance of the findings, analyze patterns or causal relationships, compare the results with previous studies, and demonstrate the contribution of the study to the development of knowledge in Islamic Education.

The Conclusion should summarize the most important findings of the study and highlight its scientific and practical contributions. This section may also indicate the strengths and limitations of the study and suggest possible directions for future research. The conclusion must be written in paragraph form and should not use bullet points or numbering.

If applicable, an Acknowledgment section may be included to recognize financial support, institutional assistance, or contributions from individuals who supported the research and writing process.

All tables and figures must be numbered consecutively. Table titles should be placed above the table, while figure captions should be placed below the figure. Tables must use horizontal lines only; the use of vertical lines is not permitted.

All references must follow the APA Style (7th Edition). Each manuscript must contain a minimum of 15 references, with at least 70% derived from scientific journal articles and at least 70% published within the last 10 years. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley to ensure consistency and accuracy in citation formatting.

All manuscripts submitted to this journal will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Authors are fully responsible for the content and originality of their work. Any form of plagiarism is strictly prohibited. The journal applies a maximum plagiarism similarity tolerance of 20%.

The editorial board reserves the right to make editorial changes to the accepted manuscripts for reasons of clarity, consistency, language quality, and journal style, without altering the substance of the work.

Authors are advised to ensure that their manuscripts fully conform to these guidelines and to the journal template before submission.
