Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration by another journal.
  • The manuscript file is in Microsoft Word format (DOC/DOCX).
  • The manuscript follows the journal template and author guidelines.
  • The manuscript structure includes Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Research Method, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgment (optional), and References.
  • The abstract is written between 150–250 words.
  • Keywords consist of 3–5 relevant terms.
  • All references are written in APA 7th Edition style and properly cited in the text.
  • At least 80% of references are from journal articles.
  • References are preferably published within the last 10 years.
  • The manuscript has been proofread and is free from grammatical errors.
  • All tables and figures are properly labeled and cited in the text.
  • The author agrees to follow the peer-review process conducted by the journal.
  • The author agrees to the copyright and open access policy of the journal.

Author Guidelines

Sahata: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat welcomes submissions of original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Scope of Manuscripts

Manuscripts should be related to community service and empowerment programs, including:

  • Community empowerment
  • Education and training
  • Socio-religious activities
  • Economic development
  • Appropriate technology
  • Multidisciplinary community service

Manuscript Structure

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be written with the following structure:

1. Title
2. Author(s) and affiliation
3. Abstract (150–250 words, in English)
4. Keywords (3–5 words)
5. Introduction
6. Research Method
7. Results
8. Discussion
9. Conclusion
10. Acknowledgment (optional)
11. References

 

Formatting

  • Language: Indonesian or English (abstract must be in English)
  • Font: Book Antiqua, size 12 pt
  • Spacing: single (1.0)
  • Length: 6000–8000 words

References

  • Use APA 7th Edition style
  • Minimum 15 references
  • At least 80% from journal articles
  • Preferably published within the last 10 years

Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system. Authors are required to register before submitting.

Review Process

All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality and originality of the manuscript.

Privacy Statement

Publication Ethics

Sahata: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

  1. Duties of Editors
    Editors are responsible for deciding which articles submitted to the journal should be published. Editors evaluate manuscripts based on academic merit without regard to race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors. Editors must ensure a fair and unbiased peer-review process and maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

  2. Duties of Reviewers
    Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and help improve the quality of manuscripts. Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and review them objectively. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited and inform the editor of any similarity or overlap with other works.

  3. Duties of Authors
    Authors must present original work and ensure that their manuscripts are free from plagiarism. Authors must properly cite all sources used in their work. Multiple or redundant publication is not allowed. Authors must ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research. Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest.

  4. Ethical Oversight
    Research involving human participants must ensure ethical standards, including informed consent and confidentiality. Any form of unethical behavior is unacceptable and will result in rejection or retraction of the manuscript.

  5. Publication Decisions
    The editor is responsible for deciding which articles are accepted based on the peer-review process, the importance of the work, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

  6. Plagiarism Policy
    All manuscripts will be checked using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a high level of similarity will be rejected.

  7. Copyright and Access
    This journal provides open access to all published articles. Authors retain copyright and agree to the journal’s licensing policy.
