Publication Ethics

Sahata: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

  1. Duties of Editors
    Editors are responsible for deciding which articles submitted to the journal should be published. Editors evaluate manuscripts based on academic merit without regard to race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors. Editors must ensure a fair and unbiased peer-review process and maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

  2. Duties of Reviewers
    Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and help improve the quality of manuscripts. Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and review them objectively. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited and inform the editor of any similarity or overlap with other works.

  3. Duties of Authors
    Authors must present original work and ensure that their manuscripts are free from plagiarism. Authors must properly cite all sources used in their work. Multiple or redundant publication is not allowed. Authors must ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research. Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest.

  4. Ethical Oversight
    Research involving human participants must ensure ethical standards, including informed consent and confidentiality. Any form of unethical behavior is unacceptable and will result in rejection or retraction of the manuscript.

  5. Publication Decisions
    The editor is responsible for deciding which articles are accepted based on the peer-review process, the importance of the work, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

  6. Plagiarism Policy
    All manuscripts will be checked using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a high level of similarity will be rejected.

  7. Copyright and Access
    This journal provides open access to all published articles. Authors retain copyright and agree to the journal’s licensing policy.
